Dr Kitch - Lord Kitchener- did it come out on Jump Up/Island or Duke first?

One of many ska/bluebeat etc that I gave away to a girlfriend early 70s wanker.gif thought it was on Island .........probably wrongg.gif it was a long time ago!!!!!

Ha Ha pmsl just struck me, I wasn't saying I gave the records for wanker.giflaugh.gif

Yep, I've had three of these over the years - all on Jump Up.

Pretty sure its the first label... backed with 'Come Back Home Meh Boy!"

He had at least one LP out on Trojan (early70's?).

Dr Kitch, its terrible.... I can't stand the size of your needle!

I don't think he did have an LP on Trojan. Theres a compilation on Island called Doctor Kitch with obviously the title track plus a Wailers track to make it interesting

The original 45 came out in Trinidad on the TELCO label and was also issued on the Jump Up label in the same year (1963)

It later came out on the WIRL lable in '66 together with the ALLADIN label in the UK

and again on BEVERLEY's together with the DUKE label in '71 in the UK

Bought a box of about 50 of these in the late 80's when I was selling records mail order. For some reason one of the wholesalers I was dealing with who mainly sold crap had hit upon a stash of original UK jump up pressings. Think they were 75p each or so and stone mint. Great record, reckon I only have one left now. :thumbup:

Original was released on the TELCO label from Trinidad in 1963

released on JUMP UP in the UK that same year
