Pete S Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Looks like the last (or only one I could find) of these sold for $661 last year. This is an EX+ copy. Any offers please or equal trades. CINDY & THE PLAYMATES - DON'T STOP THIS TRAIN / A PORTRAIT OF GOD'S LOVE - KEMP description below from last ebay sale Cindy & The Playmates - Don't Stop This Train / A Portrait Of God's Love Kemp 50 / J.P. 129 CONDITION: EX+ to M- Beautiful copy of this super-rare (and so far lesser-known) Chicago two-sider from the ladies who brought us "Now That School is Through". "Train" side may have a bit of funk appeal, and the flip is just fantastic....I have only ever seen one copy for sale before this....
Corbett80 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Think this has the same backing as The Mark V Unlimited on Sagport?
Pete S Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Think this has the same backing as The Mark V Unlimited on Sagport? I've absolutely no idea mate, just arrived in a bunch of records from a mate in the States, it's nearly all crossover and modern, as you know I haven't a clue with this sort of stuff. There's another copy of that fantastic Cathy Davis record on Taurus though.
Pete S Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 soundfiles pete ? Still not set up to do them yet Ted sorry. It's in JM's book at £300 but there's no sign of it on his website so no sound clips there either. I'll see if I can get something wired up!

Reg Scott Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Think this has the same backing as The Mark V Unlimited on Sagport? Is that the "Gone/Funny Changes" on Sagport? If it is are you referring to the "Gone" side (the more funky cut)? Regards...
Corbett80 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Thats the one 'Gone' great record...think Haim Kenig had one of these recently?
Reg Scott Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Thats the one 'Gone' great record...think Haim Kenig had one of these recently? Yeh, it's a good track which I picked up with some other stuff. Fits with the current appeal for edgy soul tunes. Be interesting to hear Pete's soundfile when he's sorted out the tech! Cheers.

Marc Forrest Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Think this has the same backing as The Mark V Unlimited on Sagport? yes it is. Current spin of mine since last year. Haim listed one a while ago too but did list (and soundilfed) only the flipside...
Hakenig Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 A little late here, but yes that was my copy on that auction, I soundclipped both sides actually, although my habit of putting both sides onto one clip may not be the best idea! Seems like there's only a small handful of these out there, I have one spare but other than Pete's and another one sold in the past (a Manship auction, I think) I've never seen it offered elsewhere.

I took something like 190 quid for that copy in the end I think...
