Mak Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I wonder if anyone can answer a question for me . I am waiting for a record from the states , purchased on the 28th August , paid via paypal next day , seller states he posted it on the 1st Sept . I have been in contact with him and can only suggest that it has been sent back to him , checked with my local sorting office , no package been returned. The other option was that it is lying in the customs office , right , the question . Is there anyway of contacting the custom office and enquiring if they hold any packages for me ? Tony

Tony The only reason customs would be holding a packet for you is if they want you to pay some excess charges on it, that sometimes adds a week on to the delivery time, but even now after 28 days, there's still time for it to arrive.

The Tempest Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I received an album this morning from the states which I paid for around the same time , in my experience , they all take either a week or five weeks !!!! Yet I can get an album from Tokyo in four days and an album from France in three weeks !! I don't get it either !!!
mikeysoul Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Could it be caught up in the backlog caused by the postal strikes earlier in the month? Mike

Guest JJMMWGDuPree Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Was it air or surface mail? Surface mail can take up to 6 weeks in my experience.
ALIVE'N'KICKIN Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 i live in the states and i have got a few complaints about slow shipping from the U.S. which doesnt make any sense because i have been getting in packages from the U.K. in about a week and a day or two. Even shipping within the states is slow. it doesnt make sense
Philippe Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Was it air or surface mail? Surface mail can take up to 6 weeks in my experience. Unfortunately surface mail in the U.S.A. doesn't exist any more.
