Guest the major Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Not lately mate, but on Brit Soul, have been giving Tom Jones 'Hide and Seek' a few spins recently and it seems to go down well; still waiting for someone to chuck their knickers at me tho'. And no... drawers, cellular, mens, olive drab are not what I had in mind....

ImberBoy Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 I can not say from any experience, but I am 99% sure that Helen Shapiro "Tell me what he said" was played at the Casino? Can any one confirm this please?? Whilst we are on the Casino, did the floor ever clear and what too? And who was the DJ?

Yes it was played at the Casino, I remember getting Bill Withers played in Mr M's cleared the floor except me and my mate. Edited October 17, 2009 by Netspeaky
Guest Perception Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I think "STOP AND BECOME AWARE" and "HE KNOWS HOW TO LOVE ME" have a place in the Northern Soul sphere. I think that "Tell Me What He Said" is more of a pop record, maybe this was why it was a big selling chart record in the 60's.
