Sebastian Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I really like the 20th Century version as well. An entirely different approach to the tune and more of a ballad. Plus it's got a nice Hi-ish mid-tempo tune on the b-side entitled "Just Your Fool". You need both 45s. 1
Guest Johnny One Trout Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 WHATS THE DIFFERENCE IN THESE TWO SAME RELEASE AT A LATER DATE ON 20TH CENTURY?? PRICE ON 2OTH CENTURY? THANSKK THE GASHER link £20 tops Gashster not a patch on the capitol disc although the flips are identical. The 20th Century is more of a stepper, nice enough but the Capitol version is quality Long Lost Trout

The 20th Century is more of a stepper, nice enough but the Capitol version is quality Long Lost Trout link I've never bought the Capitol version cos it pales in soulful comparison to the 20th Century side, which remains one of my all time faves. Dancefloor appeal aside - just listen to both!!. I know i'm in the minority on this though - i've had the same argument many times B4 Girf 1
davidwapples Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 ive got the 20th centuary one for sale should anyone need a copy pm me please dave
Daved Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I bought the 20th Century release by mistake and was disappointed. :-(
Douglaschip Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Regularly see 20th Century one for 5 to 10 pounds - not a patch on the Capitol imo. Adam.
Guest turntableterra Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 capitol version is the top version, the flip is good too
Kjw Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Anyone got the Capitol one for sale? I've a couple of copies - sent you a message
Still Diggin Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 HAVING BOTH VERSIONS I TEND TO THINK ITS A MOOD THING . I THINK HAYWOODS VOCAL ON THE CAPITOL RELEASE IS SUPERIOR. HOWEVER THE 20TH CENTURY RELEASE IS A MUSIC MASTERCLASS. ACCEPT THEM FOR THE RECORDING PERIOD THEY ARE FROM. THAT IS HOW I LIKE TO VIEW IT. ANDY
