Could it be the tape was a speeded up version or similar as I remember getting a tape of someone and 3 tracks were exactly that and I spent years looking for non-existent 45's by 3 groups who didn't exist either. DOH!

DOH! link it's the backing track thats defo been used on another 80's tune might even be another version mate. listen to it on manships auction its on a double sound clip so listen to the 2nd byte

The soundclip on manships site is the 12" version, the 7" version is probably what your'e thinking of, both on rojac. Hope thats of help.
