No it was a 68 release on Polydor, paper label, the one you're on about was a legit repress as it was a big Cleethorpes record. The girl singer of this band contacted me a couple of years ago after a copy!

boxing.gifHI - TO MY KNOWLAGE? THIS IS THE ONLY SINGLE, WELL THEY MIGHT BE ANOUTHER SINGLE BUT IF THERE IS ITS NOT OF INTEREST TO COLLECTORS. THIS VERSION HAS GREAT MEMORIES FOR ME, AND TO BE HONEST I PREFER IT TO THE CLASSIC DANNA VALLERY, THE FIVE OF A PENNY ARE A BRITISH GROUP?sleep3.gif

shades.gif ANY WAY HERES A IMAGE OF THE SINGLE IN JM TALK:- ITS A PRISTENE COPY OF THE FIRST ISSUE, MINT CONDITION, AND A RARE COLLECTORS OF UK SOUL VINAL, A MUST HAVE ITEM...thumbup.gifph34r.gif DAVE KILpost-13241-12534865108429_thumb.jpg

boxing.gif Pete did you not notice the JM stands for John Manship? I guess you did, good.gif All I can say is back in the 7ts I use to love to go junking and looking through piles of records to find that new sound, this was a hard find?. I think you should remember now and again that back then with no price guides no internet, and all the knowlage we now posses, finding a Carl Douglas or a Fathers Angels Issue was like finding a needle in a haystack, hence the prices of records today, FIVE OF A PENNY was a huge record and it got the dancers danceing and that is what its all about aint it? it also sold very well as a reissue, so it must have something going dont you think?ph34r.gif DAVE KIL
