Mick Holdsworth Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Don't know about you but I'm fed up of seeing the bootleg white demos of Epitome Of Sound being sold off as originals. There's yet another one on eBay right now - This are the heavy duty pitted labels like Dave Newman / Idle Few etc. https://cgi.ebay.com/...em=390093481926 Suppose this'll go for 3 figures and buyer will be non the wiser - wait another 3 weeks and up it'll come again. paup-ine Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 sure i had a green boot in the late 70"s Sold mine for £12 on the bay not so long ago.. P
Mick Holdsworth Posted September 19, 2009 Author Posted September 19, 2009 Sold mine for £12 on the bay not so long ago.. P The green or white boots do sometimes go for lots of money even when advertised as boots ... I myself sell them on and off for that kind of money. My gripe is the boots being advertised as original, when they are clearly no such thing ... Mick
paup-ine Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) isn't the green boot speeded up ? No, the Moses Smith one is (which is also green) . The Green boots of the orig are normal speed. P Edited September 19, 2009 by paup-ine

Simsy Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 My gripe is the boots being advertised as original, when they are clearly no such thing ... Mick Have you reported him?
ALIVE'N'KICKIN Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 the question is where can i find a "moses smith" copy? one of my favorites and i wouldnt mind having a copy to throw people off a bit.
ALIVE'N'KICKIN Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 and btw, very suprised to see people are still overpaying for the boots, they are pretty easy to pick out just by looking at the label. original says s 101 and the new boots say s 001. and not to mention the small brail like serial under the label.

Mick Holdsworth What's the difference between an original W/D and a bootleg W/D? I'm only aware of the green label pressing.

Benji, A real white demo looks like this ... Sharp and clear text. Whilst the bootleg white demo looks like this ... Slightly blurred text - pitted label - very heavy duty vinyl - just like boots of Dave Nemman & Idle Few. Cheers Mick
