Quinvy Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Cliff Camfield makes up some stunners every month at Burnley. The more he has to drink before he gets behind the decks, the funnier they get. Eddie Bian & the Tar Babies....fantastic!
Ian Parker Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Frankie Valli & the Beach Boys - (wait a minute) ......... I heard it with my own ears
Trev Thomas Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 the megatons - that detroit sound - laurie......covered up as the incredible fred scrunge..by ady croasdale in the mid 80's
ImberBoy Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Lenny Gamble - we all know this was in fact Ady Croasdale There was a long standing yet disproved rumor that David of David And The Giants Ten Miles High was in fact David Cassidy, like I say this was disproved, however, a few years ago I met Danny Bonaduce on North sea Ferries. Danny Bonaduce was in fact a screaming homosexual and he joined me for a drink on the Starlight Deck, I am straight but Danny had taken a shine to me for some reason. After a few duty free Stella's we got onto the subject of David Cassidy and Danny swears blind that David of David And The Giants Ten Miles High was in fact David Cassidy.

Isn't that the old Osmonds myth Imber?
Pete Morgan Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Always remember R Searling at Wigan telling me his newest cover up at the time was by an artist called Fluffy Falana . I thought he was taking the piss! That was a unique case , for me of the cover up artist name sounding more credible than the true original name ! It took me a while to belive him, Pete Morgan
Gene-r Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I can remember Pete Myles' legendary cover-up; "So Glad" by Bobby Fuknoze. Was actually "So Glad We Made It" by Nicky James on UK Philips.

Gene-r Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Lonely For You Baby by Sam Dees was covered up as "I'm Lonely" by Dan Brantley. Confusing, because this also exists as a separate 45!
Robin S Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Guy's "The Albanians" "Same Thing" c/u ("Masqueraders"). Seem to remember there was a Med holiday/cyberman story in that one?.. Remember going to Loughborough station to get a train over to TheBrit at Nottm...there was a shop called James Mack and Co and one night me and a mate very childishly graffited "and the Chicago Gangsters" below the shop name at the height of Roy Dawson's fame!
