can anyone tellme the story behind "Baby, I Want You" - Fabulous Impacts (Kent 6ts) and Moments (Hog) -it is the same recording right?

Also anyone have any info on Ruby Love - You Just Dont Know ? label, value etc.

The following is what you'd call selective editing from the sleevenotes of the 100 Club Anniversary Singles CD .

Ady bought an acetate of it in NYC, he then sold it to Keb Darge, before it was released in 1990 as an anniversary single. Then 10 years later someone turned up a copy of The Moments on HOG. For more info buy a copy of the CD, only thing is due to last minute legal hitch this track had to be omitted!

The Moments was just sold on EBay - I was sorely tempted though it would have meant instant execution by the boss.

John Manship has one on auction at the moment (no pun intended)!

i remember carl fortnum playing a moments hog copy at the oldtown soul club on normanton in 1994 so carl had it then but rob marriot used to play it prior to that but i dont know if it was a moments 45 or acetate he had. copies were certainly kicking around well before 1999

What's 5 years in Northern Soul? Yes the Waxpoetics link was what fell through contractually. There's is a godawful dub too!

Rob had the acetate from Keb when he (Keb) sold up.
