Godzilla Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 This is being a little stubborn this morning had to re --make it as it wouldn't upload ? That's an MP3 of a contemporary artist's work. Not on really
Nickg Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Another reminder of the forum house rules regarding MP3's Posting or requesting Mp3s Due to copyright issues posting or requesting mp3s on all forums (except if posted with sales ) is not allowed. If you do wish to post/request a clip please do so via refosoul feature Thanks Nick
Anais nin Carms Posted September 13, 2009 Author Posted September 13, 2009 Phil you can catch it on u-tube along with other stuff by the Bamboos with other featured artists ..sorry mate you will have to do your own diggin. Red eye records in Australia will help you source the record on 7" if youlike it that much. Godzilla .... you know me better ! but respect the groups policy
Mark R Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I really think lots of you guys on here would love the Bamboos stuff (check out "Make It Real" featuring Kylie Auldist from their last album) and the new Kylie Auldist solo CD "Made Of Stone" is worth a punt. I played a cut off this on my last Starpoint show............don't ignore the listen again links I post for the show, cos although there will always be stuff on the sow that won't be appreciated on here, I generally play some stuff that will be relevant. It's a good way of getting to hear some of the material on the fringes of what's normally posted/appreciated on Soul Source. Cheers, Mark R

Anais nin Carms Posted September 13, 2009 Author Posted September 13, 2009 eeeem I really don't see what the difference is between me uploading a sound having it removed and for then for you to put a pretty green picture up with a facility to play the same sound ... I think I have just been bamboooozeled I suppose it's a technicality ? tell me does the artist get a royalty for each listen from the utube source?
Kris Holmes Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I have been a fan of the Bamboos since forever, great band, great albums, always on point.

Back when I was living there, I recall one of their guest singers was Demi Hines (Marcia's daughter) and someone said the modern scene here picked up on a track. ....ahhhh, having a homesick moment right now. I remember the Red Eye Records stores in Sydney so well - the import comps, the 2nd hand vinyl, the soul event flyer drops m

Even "He who must not be named" does so. If they want they can request Youtube to remove it and away it goes. if you send an MP3 to ten friends and they send it to another ten you soon have a bunch of people who can burn the track to CD, sling it on their iPd and so on. The label can't come round to your house and take it off your harddrive. All those people who have a good quality MP3 are not likely to buy the track. Those who can access a low quality version on Youtube are a bit more likely too. That's the logic anyway
