Guest Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Does anybody know how many records The Dells made in the years of their existence (especially 45's)? What happened to the members and is there a discography somewhere on the Web? I own about 5 Checker 45's and sorta hooked to their music (also the non-northern songs). Did they made LP's as well? Are they maybe still performing (yep, silly question, but I don't know for sure..). Thanks Souly's for any info. And take care.
Guest ShaneH Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 i always recommend people check out Dave Rimmer's web site www.soulfulkindamusic.com or co.uk. there are loads of discographies on there. hope this helps Shane

Makemvinyl Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 (edited) https://themightydells.com/ link Customer Review: Oh my God, every time I watch this movie, I get goose-bumps. The movie was the movie "The Temptations" could've been. This is actually based on another legendary soul group - the legendary Dells (whose chart record lasts since the '50s and they're still performing which is AMAZING) very loosely. more info 5 Heartbeats personal fav Its all up to you Edited July 9, 2005 by MAKEMVINYL

Geoff Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 How Can We Find The Love ... Hadn't heard this one before, just a great bit of soul music. Thanks for bringing it to the list's attention. They are the sort of group that you take for granted, and then you hear something like this and you realise how great they are. Had the same feeling the first time I heard Make Sure (at Martin and Audra's reception). How long has Junior Murvin been lead singer?
Guest in town Mikey Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 How long has Junior Murvin been lead singer? link For years now. He was just infant Murvin when he began. Do I really need a coat in this weather?
Geoff Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 [For years now. He was just infant Murvin when he began. Do I really need a coat in this weather?] Nice to see your sense of humour hasn't changed since you moved from London. I hope all is well with you, miss your email about what was on. Lesley sends her best.
