Pete S Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 £317 thought it would go for more Maybe not too many Andy Williams fans around any more? (It's got to be him, hasn't it?)

Mark Bicknell Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 (edited) Maybe not too many Andy Williams fans around any more? (It's got to be him, hasn't it?) Andy Williams lol seems fitting as I was the first one to play this that I should prove it's not Andy lol Regards - Mark Bicknell. Reggie Alexander folks! Edited September 9, 2009 by Mark Bicknell
Quinvy Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Bloody hell Mark, I wouldn't of been so keen to own up to that....... In the same league as George Lemons, but not quite as bad....
Quinvy Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Phil u got no soul No I haven't......but neither have George Lemons & Reggie Alexander.....
Ficklefingers Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Phil u got no soul No I haven't......but neither have George Lemons & Reggie Alexander..... PMSL at that.. Fooking brilliant, Phil I wouldn't give £3.12 for the Mr Alexander 45, personally.. Fingers
Cover-up Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Surely when Sharon Scott's unreleased version appeared on the "Rare Collectable & Soulful" CD, old Reggie's became somewhat redundant?
Mark Bicknell Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Bloody hell Mark, I wouldn't of been so keen to own up to that....... In the same league as George Lemons, but not quite as bad.... Surfice to say Phil Reggie has long since gone mate well both copies actually lol sold the first one for £500.00 way back and almost the same for the other, the record worked during the early 90's at the likes of Keele etc. as an ender, it took off for what ever reason and originally cost me pennies, perhaps not the best record in the world but that can be said for so many records that find their way onto the Northern scene. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Pete S Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 do you like this as much as george lemons pete No I quite like this actually. I got two copies out of Discoveries about 9 years back, sold for £250 each, never had a sniff of anything like £500 each though.
Ritchieandrew Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Andy Williams lol seems fitting as I was the first one to play this that I should prove it's not Andy lol Regards - Mark Bicknell. Hi Mark, I sold you a copy of Reggie Alexander @ a 'Do' the Mount Stewart Hotel Colwy Bay, in I think the late eightees.,(possibly your 1st copy.) This copy ended up with Keith (Soul - Searcher) Williams who still has it. I originaly bought it from Bob Foster for £2. Regards Ricardo.

I got two copies out of Discoveries about 9 years back, sold for £250 each, never had a sniff of anything like £500 each though. I got £550 when I sold mine, mind you it was still very much in demand at the time.

I remember the first time I heard Reggie, and being blown away by that incredible intro......only to be let down by Reggie's very weak vocal. But like I said, just my opinion. It would be a boring old world, if we all liked the same things. Phil.
Mal C Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I got one of these from the States a couple months ago, paid £300 which I thought was a bargin.. mal

The sound that was big back through the years is now over, it's over - better that it's over' Yuck - always hated it - one to go on the Doug Banks bonfire. Dave Edited September 10, 2009 by DaveNPete
Dylan Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 this is one of those records I used to love and would have happliy paid a lot of money for but now as my tastes have changed I don't realy like it that much.
Ted Massey Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 I did a straight swop with Donald Jenkins on Cortland of the famous Steve Smith outside the Old Vic Wolvo in the 1987
