I think this is quite a difficult record to value, it's JACKIE EDWARDS - KEEP ON RUNNING - WIRL (Jamaica). Obviously this is the original of the Spencer davis group hit and is a great Northern version, one went on ebay for $101 but that was on Beverlys which is a reissue of this one, so was just wondering if anyone's ever seen one sold or sold one themselves.

Have sold two black ones and one purple label variant too over the last 18 months.

I was surprised that they didn't move quickly...£50 a piece eventually.

GREAT track...love the sax break...I played it at a collectors night over here and it sounded great loud!

Pete, I'm pretty sure one exactly the same as yours went for over £100 on JM's auction a few years ago. Wouldn't have given my New Zealand copy on Philips away if I'd known it was that rare!

picked up a black one for about £50 off flynny and picked up a purple one for about a fiver (but that was a lucky buy at a reggae shop in japan where i also got the sophisticates on soul underground for the same price); otherwise i've seen it at £75-100

so much better than spencer davis...

Anybody know the story. Would the 45 have been released before the lp......i presume?

...like hell it is - it doesn't even get close.

Although it's very good, I must say...

Incidentally, the SDG recorded it commercially first - Jackie didn't cut a studio version until later. Same goes for his version of "Somebody Help Me"....
