boba Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Anyone know the flip to this one: 4543 - Bobbie Knight and Universal Lady - Power Greater Than Man / ? - 1975 also, soulfulkindamusic lists this title which I have never ever seen listed anywhere else: 4548 - Bobby Knight and Universal Lady - Somebody Touch Me (In The Right Place) / A Woman will Make You Love - 1975 Someone recently emailed me and said they had it on an italian issue, can anyone confirm its existence on a US issue and whether it exists? Also, I'm quoting the soulfulkindamusic listings above, but aren't they both "boobie knight" on both, not "bobbie knight" or "bobby knight"? Thanks for any help.
phillyDaveG Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 "Somebody touch me" was an Italian picture sleeve on Brunswick, it also saw US issue on Dakar as noted, however I've only seen promos (with "Somebody.." on both sides. Both tracks of this 45 appear on his rare Dakar LP. Also, I only know of promos of 4543. Yes, it is Boobie Knight.

So has anyone seen either of the US records with flips? I have the more common one as a promo. Thanks.
Steve G Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Thanks for the clarifications. So has anyone seen either of the US records with flips? I have the more common one as a promo. Thanks. I probably have as I collected Dakar a few years ago, will check.

Steve G Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 thanks, please let me know if you have either US 45 with a flipside. Thanks a lot. Both demos and both Boobie Knight & The Universal lady on the US copies. like PDG have never seen a US issue of either.

You'd think they exist though, issues do pretty much exist for pretty much all the dakar records (even though some are very hard to find), though, right?

Yes but a few of the later ones on labels like Dakar and Brunswick are demo only - think they got more selective as to what they actually issued towards the end. Steve PS: I did a 2 part article on Dakar it's on my website toodarnsoulful. Edited September 9, 2009 by Steve G
