Daniel Harvey
For me it would have to be The b side of ' Eternally' by the Charmaines on date. A track called 'if your ever'.... I play this side much more. The other one would be the b side of ' I can take of leave your lovin' by Henry Boatwright on Capital. A track called ' I'm hung up on a dream'.. always thrilling to get a record in the mail and find it has a crackin b side. Link to comment Social source share

Dean
Not a big record but springs to mind for this topic - Johnny Wyatt on Challenge, A side usually listed as Hang Up The Phone on lists, check out the flip, Any Kind Of Love. Powerful big vocal that builds to a peak, old style pounder. Link to comment Social source share

Guest
One from me....Randy Taylor on Uptown, play side is usually 'Theatre Of Broken Dreams'. Big Stafford (??) play which I've always thought was average at best but flip it over and you get this storming up tempo dancer: Randy Taylor - Soul Machine - Uptown Link to comment Social source share

Windlesoul
How about the Sophisticates ' I cant stand it' on Mutt, flip it over for 'I need you', quality Detroit (well Inkster but near enough) midtempo girly job that never gets any recognition... Kev Cane
Dylan and John spot on with Masqueraders "Please take me back", along with "I,m just an average guy" must be their finest hour IMHO, anyone with The Exportations "I want you" on Vir-ro, once you,ve flipped it and heard "Find another day" surely "I want you" fades into insignificance such is the brilliance of the flip, as a matter of interest, anyone playing "Find another day" out at venues ? Davenpete
where were you - epitome of sound - flip to You Dont Love Me Class! Thought that was pretty well known - one off my all-time favs is: The Showstoppers 'What Can A Man Do' - the B-Side of one of the biggest selling of all Northern tracks and just brilliant. 'I Still Love You From (from the bottom of my heart)' - the Four Larks - stunningly good, though pretty well known of course. Dave PS Isn't 'You're So Young' only the B-Side on the reissue? And Sammy Ambrose on UK has 'This Diamond Ring' on the other side I seem to remember - a great track in its own right and played long before Dreamsville of course. Dave pair of these are pretty well known but totally underplayed dave. when i dj'd in stockport a few years i played the flip of EOS by mistake, dancefloor reaction was one of surprise as it sounded familiar but not what they thought it was! many made their way to the decks to see what it was. Windlesoul
I'm not particularly an oldies fan but funny how the greatness of 'If thats what you wanted' overshadowed the flipside (not the'this is not a B side' jobs). Nobody was interested in the TOTALLY AWESOME mid tempo grinder 'Love your pain goes deep' . Sign of the times tempo-wise methinks. F**ker to dance to though (probably why it never gets played out; except my last spot!) just feeeeeel the soul! Mark Edited September 15, 2009 by mark w.
