Dave Harrison Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I was recently blown away by Perry & Sanlin's track "Just to mak you happy". I've looked everywhere I know, and except for a sound file on YouTube can't find much more info. It was an LP track from 1980 I believe (on EMI) and also appeared as a B Side to "With you" on Capitol. Does anyone know if the 45 is the full 6 minute version, or is it edited down ? I believe that it also appeared on a compilation CD but again, is it available and how much ? Would appreciate any info from you knowledgeble guys ! If anyone has a sound-file to post, I would love to hear it again!
phillyDaveG Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Awesome sound. The full length version is only available on the LP (great album too). Should set you back about £30 if you can find one, hope that helps; (PHIL) PERRY & (KEVIN) SANLIN "FOR THOSE WHO LOVE" (1980 CAPITOL) (Prod. Charles Jackson & Cecil Hale) Best tracks - "Off on your love"/"Since you"/"Just to make you happy"/"You can't hide love"/"We belong together"/"With you"/"I'm so glad there's you"

phillyDaveG Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Somebody should do a bit of research on Phil Perry - he had a long and very interesting career - or maybe somebody already has? Had? He has released 3 successful albums in the last 4 years. Still very much at the forefront of quality soul.
