Yeah there was mate, Jamaican Memories, sleeve and content exactly the same as the very rare 1969 Blue Cat compilation LP, plus some great extra tracks. If you can't find it and want a copy, give me a shout.

dthedrug Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 after i asked on here about the cd i goggled the title and managed to download it for free ! Nice one I dont realy like CDs but when ia driving i realy get into them, however this is the sort of reissue thats ther for people like me and not for a collector of Vinal, and Reggae wise my collection consists of records that i use to own back in the day, And its clear what was played north of london was differant that in centre London I will explain later, bt the way you know i have a authentic sound system hane built by Keith(linksey)Goodman who sadly passed away 2 years ago, I have called the systen the linksy memorial sound, tell you what it realy needs a sound man DJ and Mike man for it to link DAVE KIL

TOAD Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 ONLY GOT TWO BLUE CATS ,BOTH BATTERED BUT PLAYABLE
dthedrug Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 (edited) ONLY GOT TWO BLUE CATS ,BOTH BATTERED BUT PLAYABLE 6 Years ago, Jim decided to find a new direction with his collecting, and move away into other areas of world music the whole collection of his, it was the most comprehensive recored collection that I have ever scene, most labels were conplete, Doctor Bird, BlueCat, Island, all Pama labels, Coxone/Studio 1 and so on, many rare LPs and Dub plates of unreleased clasics all genuine. I dout all his soul stuff which has proved fruitful for me as there was many Jamacian R&B stuff their, Jim has made a few major Discoveries over the years, when he sold his UK soul collection to John Anderson it had every thing in it, one jem i did get from him was a UK Demo with pictue sleeve of Jimmmy Cliff Viatnam a very obscure sleave?
