Pete S Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 It's a pop record and this is a soul site it's by a black jazz singer and is 1000% northern soul
Mark Oliver Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 Adey Pierce a few years ago found 4 copies in a large collection that he bought from a UK dealer. Yes they got snapped up very quickly. For many years this was a great collectors sound that occasionally appeared on tape swaps and so deserved playing. Have got a Pete Myles tape from July 1986 identifying it as a £40 semi-known. Mark
Ady Croasdell Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 You can get a box of 'em from Kent now, and no big wasteful hole in the middle. Geoff Whitfield ended up with one of my two for a monumental £40
Geoff Whitfield Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 You can get a box of 'em from Kent now, and no big wasteful hole in the middle. Geoff Whitfield ended up with one of my two for a monumental £40 Yes I bought it at one of the early Yarmouth weekenders(at the going rate then mr C ,love it to bits, sold it to Gasher when I sold the vast majority of my collection for around £350 many moons ago. I will certainly be investing in the Kent one, goodwork at Kent towers
Gasher Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 You did indeed Geoff and I seem to remember the offer of Troy Dodds on El Camino for £175 wish Id picked that bugger up too..but alas the 90,s were hard times... hope youre well mate best gasher
Spook Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 (edited) Karmello Brooks, my favorite all time 45 and one of the shortest. Sold my copy with all my other US 45's in 2003, bought it off Butch at the Raven Prees Heath for £100 circa 1988 ish. I first heard Duncan Pollet play it. Best spook Edited August 30, 2009 by spook
