Paid 60 quid for mine of Pete Smith some time ago, but have seen this for 100 plus on revue..

Notice the released 45 is a different mix than appeared on The Kent comp "Brainstormers" better on 45 I recon. top class northern soul track that I never bore of hearing..

Always rated this record, never really went that big first time around but seems to be finally gaining long overdue turntable action out and about at the gigs, hard to put a value but has to be around the £200.00 mark and i suspet it will go higher.

Fantastic record which i'm glad i picked up when i did.

yeah the notts/derby crowd or deffinatly into it now mark i started playing it at shirland, derbyshire about 2 years ago, fills the floor round here now,not heard any other dj's this way play it,mick h could have one not sure,i bought mine off the late andy lee before he was tragically killed in a road accident (the ex djing partner of john poole ) about 6 years ago so i'd never sell it,heres a record in need of a play if it isnt already getting it cast a spell - turnpikes ,what do you think?

Turnpikes another good tune that never really went that big, good thread this for records that should have been huge, few more i can think of...lol

Two People has been played a few times in the North West Brian Flanders aka Flanny gave it a spin at the Bury soul night a couple of months back and it went down well, i've given it a few spins on the Solar gig Sunday nights and out and about so i'm sure it's gonna have it's day.

What end?

I flogged one on Ebay about 6 month back - £70.

There's absolutely no way that this record is worth even £100 let alone £200. I've had at least 8 copies in the last couple of years and also they were found in quantity in 'the haul'. It's as common as Ain't That Good Enough. I agree with £75 absolute top price and you can quote me on that next time I put it on a list - for £75.

i bought mine 5-6 years ago i paid £60 then and i saw it at that time in mick smiths box at £50 so considering the way prices have increased i think its worth a lot more,i know a guy who had 20 copys of pete warner - i just want to spend etc all as new never played and all promos he sold them at £40 each dont mean there only worth £40 and that was only a few months ago.if you get any at £75 let me know,i know people that will snatch your arm off at that price

You asked the question and I gave you an honest answer, seeing as I make my living from selling northern soul records full time I do actually know a little bit about the subject

What end?

Its deffo a different Mix, that WHIIRRRRRR WRRIRRRR sounds different, more pronounced on the 45, perhaps thats the effect of STEREO!!

Your right " What end" ?

---

Pete S " I sold Pete Warner for £10 "

Sheer Class!! I can imagine how he said that as well, as if 10 pound was not worthy of even mentioning in regard to a seventies track, you keep selling them 7ts tarcks cheap you grumpy old yam yam!! Lol

Depends on demand I'd say. That's if anyone would sell their copy .
