Guest Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Alright so I sell some limited amounts of Soul on Ebay. Is it just me or is Manship and the entire American Continent trying to rip you guys off? I haven't found any super big money items but I do find a lot of 30-50 pound "manship listed" 45s on a regular basis. When I look these records up and decide to sell I usually cut the price in half or more because I simply dont think they are worth more than that. Am I wrong? A few examples I have up right now Jyve Five I want You to be my Baby 25 dollars Winstons Color Him Father 6 dollars Jimmy Holiday & Clydie King 12 dollars So am I another Evil American capitalist pig or are these rates reasonable? Happy 4th of July btw.
Simon T Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Alright so I sell some limited amounts of Soul on Ebay. I haven't found any super big money items but I do find a lot of 30-50 pound "manship listed" 45s on a regular basis. * Yes, because there as common as s**t and only worth a fiver anyway, and so the $6 plus postage makes it not worth the while of buying them when there is no market for them over here. When I look these records up and decide to sell I usually cut the price in half or more because I simply dont think they are worth more than that. Am I wrong? * No. But they're not worth anything more than their market 'value' which I'm afraid is probably $5 max (thats a couple of quid over here, which people might choose to put towards a pint instead) A few examples I have up right now Jyve Five I want You to be my Baby 25 dollars Winstons Color Him Father 6 dollars Jimmy Holiday & Clydie King 12 dollars So am I another Evil American capitalist pig or are these rates reasonable? "Supply and demand", as ever..... Happy 4th of July btw. *Remind me again who you gained independence from :-)
Guest Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 That makes sense to me. The records manship lists at 10-15 and even some 20 pound records I find all the time, sometimes 2 or 3 copies at a time. Very common, I just put 20 or 30 of them toegther and sell as a lot for $2ea. Thanks for the comment though, it clarified and confirmed what I already thought.
