Jim Elliott Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Folks First became aware of this Sam Dees penned wrist slashing opus via Mr Pearsons invaluable Soul research mag aka 'Shades of Soul' in 1996 and eventually got a rather ropey tape with it on to satisfy my hunger (thankfully refosoul refreshes the parts tapes cannot reach these days) Does anybody know if it ever came out on an album, or is it a 45 only affair? Expensive I assume? Ta Jim.

Hello Jim , think it's '45 only ,I got mine off Gary S for about £10 years ago , think I might have put it on CD , if I have [ I'll check ] I'll send you a copy of the CD if you PM me your address .Best,Eddie
s7oul Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Great record Jim and 45 only as far as I am aware. Black Kat records 1977, recorded at Neil Hemphill Studios. Not forgetting the other great side - 'It's Gonna Be Hard' which I have stuck on Refosoul I don't think you'd get much change out of £150 for this these days Pat
Jim Elliott Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 Actually Eddie, on exploration in the loft said copy of Shades has been located and I think it was you who reviewed it for Derek in the first place! Will ping off my address in a bit. Cheers!! Jim.
