just been on popsike looking at the prices of a few differnet bits........

olde english 800, the one released by a brewery , or something like that

2 listed on popsike

first 1 for $2000 in 2008 and the next for approx $200 in the same year

whtas the story and which is nearer the mark

I think it's the case of a record being "discovered" and a surge in popularity and then copies coming out and a loss of interest.

Also you should consider that popsike lists ended auctions wether they were legit or not. There are some cases where the auction gets bids by fake bidders. Think the Olde English was fake. Or if moerer got his money he got really lucky. Should be 100quid tops imo

didn't manship auction one, so there specifically was some more interest right around that time?

it went on john manships auction for £183 if memory serves ?? i think craig moerer sold the one @ $2000 and i bought mine off e bay last week on a "buy it now" for $50..... quite a spread there !!
