Jesse and Diane have just sent me scans of a test pressing and a DJ copy with a full label of Era 3187 with Night Bloomin' Jasmine on the flip not Albequerque!

Neither of the main guides mention this release they all have the later 3189 Albequerque version. 3187 was actually also a release by New Scene so presumably Jesse's 3187 was withdrawn, the flip switched and re-issued two numbers later.

Looks like you original collectors will have to trade up!

Mine had Albequerque on it, listened to it once thought it wasn't very good, listened again a few years later before I sold it and still didn't like it then. Wasn't aware of the other flip and never bothered checking other copies, even when someone offered me a demo for my issue as he thought it looked better on an issue. Anyone got a soundfile of the other flip?

I actually said to someone at Cleethorpes after reading your article about Jesse that you had the wrong flip and that it was Albequerque :g:

Now that's bizarre

Dug out my copy out of interest

It is the Era 3187 Promo with "Night Bloomin' Jasmin' " on the flip

Total fluke

The copy isn't the ebay one by the way.

You're sorted. You might have to skip having Alberquerque in your collection!

Not wanting to p*ss on your chips fellas, but Alberquerque is popular amongst Popcorn collectors, so unless the different flip is a pretty good track, the earlier release, although rarer, might not be as valuable as the later release due to demand only being from the Northern Scene (though I may well be talking out of my arse as I suspect most Popcorn collectors would be priced out the market by the price tag the flipside commands on the Northern scene)

Purely an exercise of academic interest Mon Ami...not too bothered about relative value

Happen to think the flip is pretty good
