Ady Croasdell Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 As it happens I was just mentioning this in some sleevenotes and I need to know if GWP Productions get a mention, who the producers etc are and how many songs were Millbridge publishing. Their later LPs are let downs. There are some good songs on the Born Free LP but awful mixes where you can't hear the great backing. Of course the Soul Superman was mainly the Pied Piper Detroit team that did all the great Lorraine Chandler, Willie Kendrick ETC RCA singles.

IM GONNA PLAY IT AGAIN link Got to agree. Not a bum track, superb harmonies and the cream of Detroit/New York writers, producers, arrangers and musicians. Someone wrote to my previous note ref. this LP that they thought the vocals were poor!!! In reply to that just listen to I'll be Right There. Up there with the very best the Temps could offer, and I'm a major Temps/6ts stuff fan.
BrianB Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 Further to my last note, there are some incredible tracks available on LP only. What a CD compilation that would make.
Guest ZTSC Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 One of the best ever Detroit LP's this one - went down well at 5.30am last Wilton Kev J
