slimharpo Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I've seen copies listed as on the Carlton label - I assume this is a reissue? It seems less easy to get than the Glad Hamp copy. Anyone know how much it goes for? Cheers, Slim
davidwapples Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 there si a red vinyl reissue of this aswell but not sure on the label seen the red vinyl go for 40 afew times on ebay
Mace Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Red vinyl is on Carlton and goes for £40 - £50. Was apparently pressed up in the 70s but for the R&R or Doowop market. Probably a run of 500 pressed max. Flip is a doowop tune by the Strollers that was actually released on the original Carlton, so kinda presume that was the 'main' side. It's quite hard to find, but when it does turn up, like buses, there's normally a few of 'em (Craig Moerer had a handful a few years back) Original is on Glad-Hamp (Lionel Hamptons label) Goes for £150+ nowadays...did go for a lot more when first started getting spins. Also a European (Spanish?) E.P on Vegara. This is a 4 track Lionel Hampton E.P that features the Anna Belle Caesar 'Little Annie' track Goes for around £150 - £200 with pic sleeve.
