I noticed a while ago that "I Can't Take No More" by Ted Wilson, on Sierra, was written by British duo Les Reed and Barry Mason, who also wrote songs for the likes of Engelbert Humperdinck etc. Les Reed was also an orchestra leader, quite well-known on the easy listening scene.
I'd be curious to know if there was a unreleased UK demo of "I Can't Take No More" ever made, maybe as a demo for just Reed and Mason's ears (or even released as an LP track in the UK). And how would it make its way to the USA without doing anything over here?

Any ideas, anyone?
