Guest Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) It's release is Brunswick, so i would think it is the same group given the chicago connection. Yet i could be wrong...I think i will research this myself. As for it sounding like a different group, this is also true. Infact, to my ears Hey mamma sounds more like a new york recording...but it is a STONKER though. Mike There is another absolutely brilliant Northern Record by THE ADMIRATIONS on another label, not Brunswick or One-derful! but I have forgotten the title although I know it contains the word 'heart. It does not sound like the same group either but has a great chorus, can anybody remind me what that is? Edited July 13, 2009 by chorleysoul

Guest MissHongkongfuey Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Great track that Roscoe Gordon, will have to dig it out and dust it down again How wierd.....I posted a reply and it disappeared!! Never heard the Roscoe played out ever! Maybe its had plenty of plays over the years but i missed out. I managed to bag 2 demo's in less than a month. One for £6.50 and the other £3.19! Would have happily paid much much more. Wish it got a play or 2 here in Brum. Maybe i'll slip someone a £5 to give it a spin. Sick of dancin' around my kitchen waiting for a knock on the door from the soul police
Phild Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 My last 5: Vernon Greene - Look At Me, Look At Me - Minit Soulettes - Bring Your Fine Self Home - Scope I'm really made up with this one. It was advertised as having a jump on the "Bring Your Fine Self" side, I bought it (very cheaply) cos the one I already have is rough on the "Let Me Be The One" side. When it arrived I gave it a bit of a clean and it now plays great on both sides Little Dooley - If Ever I Needed You - KoKo Freddie Pride - All My Life - Diamond Jim Claude Huey - Why Would You Blow It - Galaxy Phil
