Dave Pinch Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 quite a rare non seller on bf 1500 number gash. all with 3 prong push out center or at least the copies ive seen have. should be worth £30/40 in todays market. the 1972 7 digit re issue came with large jukebox holes as far as i know. dont know really why it sells for good money. perhaps lack of knowledge on some peoples part( from 1963 to 1970 all philips uk are bf 4 digit numbers) or maybe unavailability of 1st issue . even seen usa copies at tidy sums. i have an aussie copy. brown and orange label with full center only vg con but cost 1 aussie dollar. had it a few years tho dave SOUL GALORE, CROFTON COMMUNITY CENTER 24TH JULY WITH GUEST PINCHES TWINS SUNDAY CHILL OUT,16TH AUGUST,HORSE & GROOM PUB DONCASTER. 1ST ANNIVERSARY & PROMOTERS BIRTHDAYS & GUESTS BOB BEASLEY AND CHRIS DALTON
Ernie Andrews Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 could be going for money because "Beggin is used on tv in comecials and as backing music for lots of programmes. So some people want it- Otherwise I havnt a clue

Kris Holmes Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I have a New Zealand press of this on blue & silver Philips, as well as a US issue. I think I told this story on here before, but I had a distro box of unplayed US stock copies that I got sick of taking to record fairs here in New Zealand because no one was interested & they were too common for ebay also. I gave a few away to mates, kept a couple & threw probably 40 odd copies in the bin because I got sick of looking at them. Not a tough one to find on US stock, but that UK press must be a slightly different case. I just wish I'd had a box of the Timebox version.

Sebastian Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I keep seeing a UK release with this cat number BF1556 advertised but no picture (anyone got a scan)... Here is an original UK copy that I sold about a year ago on eBay for $46:
Sebastian Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 And here is the Norway issue (which sold for $39 a couple of months after the UK issue above). The Norway 45 was issued with a picture sleeve but I've never had the sleeve. Have never seen this release on a Denmark 45, but it might very well exist.
