Sad news indeed and only 61.

When will I see you again helped define the Philly sound.

Just heard Fayette Pinkney from the Three Degrees passed away on June 27th. She was the only consistent member of the group from the early 60s until the mid 70's.

In a statement , Philadelphia International Records founders Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff , said Miss Pinkney and the Three Degrees " were our Philly sound version of Motown's Supremes - but bigger and stronger and melodic "
