vince ayres Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Like lots of of u.k. sellers of northern/funk/modern etc i click the box for international site visibility, this worked fine until two weeks ago when all of a sudden my sales and watches went through the floor.wondering what an earth was happening i thought i'd take a look on ebay .com to make sure that all my items were going through i.e. items ending soonest and they simply were not there. This is because ebay.com have changed they're search engine and there is no sub section for northern soul or funk for that matter just rnb/soul.I spoke to ebay about this 2 weeks ago as soon as i noticed the problem and they have assured me that it has been forwarded to the site engineers,it probably wont come as a surprise to you that i havent had a single piece of correspondance or a phone call from them despite ringing them everyday to see how this problem is progressing.they now have the relevant subsections in place but dont bother to click for int site visibility because the only way anyone will find it is if they acctually type the track into music.AS an example i put 1 record on last week to see if i could find on the u.s. site and the only way i can find it is under music,i cant even find it under records let alone rnb/soul never mind funk as this was what it was listed under on the u.k. site.P.S. when you look on the u.s. site any records from another country are always listed with the price in dollars showing in itallic(leaning to the right) see if you can see any for sale in actual listings, apologies for longwinded post but im sure that if you sell on ebay you need to know. thanks for listening vince(vinsoul1)as soon as theyve sorted the problem i will start relisting!
