Guest chorleybloke Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Ey up everyone, I have a copy of Southbound Freeway "Revelations" on black Swan issue 4272 but its actually Tony Galla "In Love" mis-pressed. The correctly pressed Tony Galla then came out on Swan 4275 in 3 different formats (yellow demo, white demo, black issue). Question - is my copy the true original by virtue of the lower release number? And if so, you would think it would be worth more than #4275 yes? - but not according to the books (not selling anyway, just curious). Incidentally if your see a copy of "Revelations" on Swan 4272 demo, forget it - its the correct version and shite. Cheers Pete down under:shades:
Guest Baz Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 a record is only worth what some one will pay for it so... looking at it from a collectors point of view if you want Tony Galla on swan thats the one you would go for yes But the southbound freeway perfect for a DJ point of view its cheeper and doesnt matter if its got Tony Galla wrote on it it comes out the speakers the same and its also an original. On the rare side wouldn know witch one was rarer
Chalky Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Always thought the yellow and blue label copies are the rarer.
Chalky Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 There's a yellow issue link Must have posted at the same time Pete. Thats the rarer IMO, yellow label, blue writing.

Are there any other Swan yellow demos?

As for rarity it really depends how many they pressed up before they relised they`d made a James Hunt of it and how many they disposed of. Edited June 18, 2005 by ANDY D
