phillyDaveG Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 (edited) I just dug this one off a dusty shelf; Ronnie Mitchell "Loving is a pleasure"/"Back in business" (Spectrum 113) I can't find any info about it on any sites on the net, and it's not on the Spectrum discographies that I found either. The B side was also the flip of his Spectrum 102 single "Soul touch", but anyone else know know/have this nice 6t's deep soul ballad? Edited June 18, 2009 by phillyDaveG
phillyDaveG Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 I've had a couple of PMs asking to hear this. I'll put it up on refosoul (when the facility becomes available again).
Soulfreak Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 For more info on Ronnie check out Sir Shambling's (aka John Ridley) deep soul heaven site . He does list your Ronnie 45. https://www.sirshambling.com/artists/ronnie_mitchell/ronnie_mitchell.html Best, Martin.
Dylan Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 from johns site in link above "The song seems to be too close to MOR territory to get this one a 5 star rating but it is still mighty fine." so what does MOR mean ?
Anoraks Corner Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 so what does MOR mean ? Middle Of the Road...a Music Industr term...on the verge being Easy Listening...not leaning towards a specific genre...safe!
phillyDaveG Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 Thanks for the link. I should have thought of Sir Shambling straight off.
