This isn't the update (as far as I know) just a part-time thing until it's up and running. Had a look at my messages and it's empty - you could try and message mike, but careful, I expect he's a bit busy

Benny Poole used to get spins in the 1980s on the mod scene - I got a copy of John Evans from North Wales back in the 80s - Agree with you, It is a great Funk 45.

Dont know anything about him tho.

B side to the lancers is a track called Bassology - its another instrumental - not outstanding.

Funny you think it sounds like Junior Walker....Walker's from Battle Creek and Poole's from Jackson...both are small Michigan cities that lie on I-94 between Chicago and Detroit. Poole is a sax player who had a couple singles on Cascade Sound as well: "Hi Heel Sneakers" and "I Can Dig It"/"That's All Right."
