Guest Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Enthusiastic mate! They don't seem to have pre-conceived ideas...they just get on and dance to good tunes, whether they know them or not. Also played Black Nasty and Clean Up the Ghetto...seemed to like them as well! (Baz referred to it as "that sort of ...STUFF" ) Dave link Ive got 5 copys of "Clean up the ghetto" all difforent ie;ohio ,phili ,washington ,all got diff`intro`s,like "i was in ohio the other day",if you know what i mean?have seen a few other places as well, about another 15,i bet they made a promo for every state.......more usless stuff from me then
chrissie Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Dancing Instead of telling potential buyers it's "R&B" etc, you could demonstrate to them what sort of dance you can do to each record... link Now that is an interesting concept QOF XX

Guest Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 (edited) Good to hear that one or two of us still dust it off now and again Ken link Better when you can hear it,5 differant ways dont ya think,is this not another big tune played in 8ts,to be re-ashed by somebody els,and did well in the charts.? Little-stevie Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Yes just that Dave..I dance to records that different people put in all kinds of different boxes...Some would describe a record as "a deep soul,RnB /crossoverl mid-paced ballad with doo wop style vocals, bad arsed two step funk break to die for...name that tune The point i made was that i like to hear all styles in the same room on the same night..Sorry and don't mean to stray from topic...

It's SOUL. link I really do wonder sometimes if people on this forum listen to the same record(s) as I do The above track is laden with so much harmony and group dynamics that it could easily be (and too a larger extent is) doo-wop and I think your ignorance of this fact shows how blinkered and unreasonably precious you guys are - The phrase wood for the trees mean anything ??
