Just to say I'll listen to fair offers on the higher end stuff or multiple sales.

Scans and samples on request or old fashioned down the phone plays are cool too.

Sonics Band Senore Soul / Nickle Bag (Black Beauty) EX OFFERS Super obscure Chicago Funk 45 double sided dynamite. Have a listen at midwest45s.org. Their description about says it all. Never turns up. I'll take serious offers on this for 2 weeks from this list release, please email me your offer. Only the winner will be notified. Some writing on label on Senore side - side, a phone number! Quite a few heavy hitters listed here that haven't really seen the light of day since John Anderson sold these single copies back in the very early 90s, now that means a rare. Offers conclude 17th June at midnight.

Alvin Hemphill The Jug Pt 1 / The Jug Pt 2 (BIG C) EX 100.00 A more or less unknown here, another 20 year vintage Soul Bowl exclusive. A seriously bass heavy booming Funk 45 out of Dallas Texas with a Jazzy organ / guitar driving beat. Looks insanely rare. Slight warp that doesn't affect play even with my light tone arm. Clean labels and wax.

Johnny Ross Big Bruce / Part 2 (Instrumental Version) (Bak) VG+ 100.00 Another very rare Chicago one. Both Sides kick off with a very tasty beat plus there's mad effects & spacey Sax play makes for a raw unique sound.

The Original Cousins Egg Man / Sock-it (Reid) EX 200.00 A very Rare Funk 45. This has turned up on only on a handful of occassions. Egg Man is the side with it's rolling beat and out there guitar, then in comes the screamin' sax - nice. Sock-it is a classic late 60s swinger with melancholic horn line backed with hand claps, tambourines and the rest of the boys doing their thing - a big sound. Obviously been played and has light usage marks from repeated plays, but plays clean.

The Lovelles Pretending Dear / I'm Coming Today (Atco) VG+ 35.00 Pretending Dear is a marvelous sublime crossover soul side thats not really had it's dues I say. In an Atco custom bag and label has slight bit of label wear, the flip is a nice cut too.

King Cain & Silvertone Band Don't Give a Damn / Off Beat (BIG STAR) EX 150.00 Super full gloss copy of one of the greatest and rarest downbeat Funk 45s with a break there is. Deep Drums and Organ. Boss.

Don Scaletta Trio York's Sauna / Part 2 (CAPITOL) EX+ 30.00 Brilliant Semi known baaad little Dance Jazz 45, Part A is more on the Mod Club side, but part two (not a fade in) is where it is, very disticntive sound that starts with some extended bass and drum breakdowns, then Piano riff & it's lift off. You won't be dissapointed with this one. In a Capitol Custom Bag.

Ahmad Jamal This Terrible Planet / Dance to the Lady (Argo) VG+ 10.00 Superb 45, spiritual in feel, heavy piano lead stuff, best cut from the "Extensions" LP on a cool 45. Has a bit of crackle.

Ken Jensen Box Cars / Cheap Blue (Ava) VG 15.00 What a gem of a Jazz 45, in the vein of The Hipster etc... yes it's that good. An obscure one, looks very worn but again very suprisingly the music wins through strongly. DJ'ble with (just). (would be £50, at least, if clean) Hardly ever turns up for sale.

Sons Of Moses Deviled Egg / Alpine Winter (BIX) EX 60.00 Oooh so good - breakbeat instrumental version to Caroline Sullivans "Dead" (there's a fair few versions too). With the craziest bass that launches out of the speakers, such a pure head nod groove. Wicked. Seldom seen. B-Side is very nutty, doubt anyones after it - bit it's crazy instrumentaion, jangly guitars and strings make for such a lush sound. Light 2" mark on the Egg Side - NAP.

The Minx Don't Mess with Bill / Love or Money (Mercury) EX 35.00 Slammin' Sister Funk sweet vocal version of the Marvelletes cut with such heavy drums. A glorious side, not sure why heads aren't spinning this, maybe cos it doesn't really turn up too often. In a Mercury custom bag.

Cozy Eggleston Quartet Moon Ray / WHAM !! (CO-E gg) VG 15.00 Wicked and obscure funky but relaxed jazz 45 with very soulful vibe, especially on Cozy's Sax play - has marks and plays with a bit of noise but still very listenable, the best track from the expensive LP on a loud 45 - just how we like em eh?

Shirley Kay (Phyllis Dillon) Make Me Yours / We Have Happiness (Trojan) EX 5.00 Recentish UK repress of stunning Jamaican Soul cover version. BIG TUNE, would fit right into any Funk 45 /Crossover Soul DJ set, pure mid tempo dynamite. Not heard it yet? - a 'buy blind buy' for sure.

The Strivers Show Band Let's go Party / Love Episode (Strivers) EX Just Sold Straight up Disco Party Funk for the jam on the A, then flip has a wicked separate lil vibe going on, group harmonies & tight bass line and an anthemic breakdown. Quite a rare one this.

Bobby Long & The Dealers Gotta Have Love Too / Heartbreak Avenue (Old Town) EX 90.00 A top notch Mid Tempo Soul Gem, vocals and backing to kill for. Wow

Fafa De Belem Naturalmente / Emorio (Polydor - Brasil) VG+ Just Sold Very rare & brilliant Funky club groover, for the tropical lovers, sweeet female vocals with such a great vibe, rare on 45 (or should I say 33 - as most Brasil sevens play at that speed). The lesser b-side has some noise so reduced.

Stranger Cole It takes Time / Version - Bullwackies All Stars (Aires - Jamaica) G 8.00 Heavy as **** - an amazing JA piece, seriously heavyweight drum and bass with wicked soulful vocals, what more could you want?....sadly in bad shape, looks completely goosed, but the vocal top side amazingly plays OK (but with noise), I reckon could be spun out, the dub flip is even more worn though! Collection filler till you finally find a clean one.......rare.

Danny White One Little Lie / Loan me a Handkerchief (Frisco) VG+ 15.00 If you don't know this, please go find a clip on the web, essential & amazing R&B mover, everyone love's this. Quite Rare on first local New Orleans release, has some light surface marks and light noise that doesn't distract too much, but then most copies do (that I've heard).

Lonnie Liston Smith Expansions / Part 2 (Flying Dutchman) VG+ 8.00 Essential Jazz Funk Masterpiece.

Irene Reid I Must be Doing Something Right / How did he Look (Pilgrim) VG+ 20.00 Superb female funky Soul, clean wax apart from a small lightish scratch in the run in groove that causes a tick for a couple rotations on intro.

Mille Small My Boy Lollipop / Sweet William.. (Smash - All Time) EX+ 10.00 Ever heard this spun at a reggae revive session? - always a niceness explosion, TUNE, just can't deny it. Super clean copy.

Sisters & Brothers The Jed Clampett / Part 2 (Uni) VG 25.00 Funk 45 Club Classic - it's got the lot, breaks, bass, tight horns, wicked vocals - tune, has some noise, good play out copy.

Syl Johnson Sexy Ways / I Been Missin' You (Antones) M- 15.00 Funk 45 Club banger, 1998 release, seldom seen - Heavy - Syl's sweet voice riding that breakbeat groove.

Carl McDonald Ready for Love / Version (Butane - NY) VG+ 10.00 Deep Rootsy obscure Reggae 45 from 1977- top vocal side. Version has vocals too. Rare on a 45, I'm pretty sure it's a slightly different cut to the collectable 12".

Fred Wesley & The JB's Watermelon Man / Alone Again Naturally (People - Purple) VG+ 10.00 Brilliant version from THE Funk band, done in pure JB's tight style. Them guitar licks man.........

Lee Williams & Cymbals I Love you More / I'll be Gone (Carnival) VG 7.00 Glorious down tempo double sided perefection - love it to bits, sing a long addictive and both sides have a killer hip hop 90s Elektra style intro!. "I Love you more.." may have been played with a worn needle, has light noise throughout, flip plays fine. so reduced in price.

Zeke Strong & Ladyettes I Laugh and Talk / Instrumental Version (Miss Lady) VG+ 15.00 Heavy mid tempo funk party starter 45 - class.

Weldon Irvine Walk that Walk Talk that Talk / Mono (RCA Promo) VG+ 18.00 Simply put, an essential funky jazz groove with that wicked walking bassline & beefy clavinet. Light crackle in parts, fine for DJ's, bit hard to source on a 45 nowadays.

Beny More & Orquesta Que Bueno Baila Ud / Elige Tu Que Canto Yo (RCA - US) EX 6.00 A Side is deservedly straight up wicked classic Cuban dancefloor music - perfect, what a great side. How well you dance?

Hindall Butts Gigin / Happiness (Kool Kat) EX 20.00 What a track, Gigin is a seldom seen distinctive & wicked little Funk Mod Jazz Dancer with amazing keys, great DJ club cut, Happiness is a slow melancholic smiler. There are 2 very small marker stars on label - looks fine as label is B+W. Simliar to Leonard Kings "Barracuda".

Kimico Band Soul Train (Avco) EX 15.00 Not too well known and it really should be, big intro into a head nod sparse organ groove, over a big PA this really works This is a promo copy in picture sleeve. One for the DJs wanting a 45 that doesn't get played by anyone else. Play before 'Pepsi'.

Gene Ammons Jug Eyes / He's a Real Gone Guy (Prestige) VG+ Just Sold Baaad Funk Jazz 45 - no messing. Heavy, driving, relentless & hard.

Sammy Brown Got To Leave this town / Mine to Have (Grassroots) VG+ 10.00 Blinding Track - if this was rare it would a bank breaker, but it's not. Stunning lively male funk soul - love his voice. Big Sound - Tuuuune

J.B's Pickers Super Soul Theme / Kim+Dave 'Nobody Knows' (AMOS) M- 10.00 Zany Funk 45 Instrumental. After the barmy geetar intro in comes the drums (& what a beat - phew)... from the film "Vanishing Point".

The Rock / Jo Ann Garrett Charlie Brother / Don't Abuse Your Faithful Love (Scorpio) VG+ 12.00 The good Funk A side kicks of nicely with a beat, flip is female vocal down tempo boom class. Doesn't turn up much nowadays.

Le Ry-Co Jazz Chikiri Cumbe / Do Right Woman Do Right Man (Disque Debs - Fr) VG 3.00 Obscure Guadeloupe 45 from this currently appreaciated band, A Side is straight up tropical dancefloor groove, flip is their take, also in a soul style of the Aretha hit. Looks slightly worn, plays fine. Picture Sleeve.

Al Greene & Soul Mates Back Up Train / Don't Leave Me (Bell - UK) VG++ 6.00 Always loved "Back up Train". From when Al had an 'e' in his surname, downtempo late 60s soul perefection with an almighty breakbeat bass, drum organ intro and groove to the whole side . Beautiful arrangement & and a cheapie. Not heard it yet? - a 'buy blind buy' for sure. UK small hole in a (slightly ripped) Bell bag.

Jackie Shane Any Other Way / Sticks and Stones (Sue) F 2.00 Tune. Stunning 60s Beat Ballad. Wax looks almost comically abused, where has this been stored I wonder..., but is, amazingly so, still listenable, maybe G+. A clean original is quite collectable, there's a clip on 'you tube' R&B dancer flip plays worse.

Jackie Shane Any Other Way / In My Tenament (Underground) EX 7.00 Tune. Stunning 60s Beat Ballad. Old US reissue with diff. & great flip side. A clean original is quite rare, there's a clip on 'you tube' R&B dancer flip plays worse.

Charlie Earland Sing a Simple Song / Raindrops... (Prestige) VG 5.00 Great instrumental version done in that classic sound that only those Prestige session musicians knew how to do. Has some crackle but that thick sound wins through. Charlie killing it on the hammond. An early 90s Acid Jazz club anthem.

Myra Barnes Message from the Soul Sisters / Part 2 (King - Black) EX 25.00 One of the best outputs from the JB production house and such a quality piece of black music - essential. Clean with full gloss copy. Rare now.

Roscoe Weathers Root Flute / Blue Cha Cha (Cornuto) VG- 6.00 The basslines off for a stroll whilst the flute dances around his feet. Wicked little groovy obscure West Coast Jazz 45. Do you own a any 45s with a photo of a sheep on there? - you could now. Plays with some noise and light crunches.

Linda Lewis Sideway Shuffle / Play Around / Rock A .. (Reprise - UK) VG+ 5.00 Played on the late 80s early 90s rare groove scene, alongside Dawson Smith & The Equals etc "Sideway...." is a shuufling little winner sung in Lindas unique style..... all sing a long - Hey Na Na now Hey Na Na.

Andy Williams House of Bamboo / Hawaiian Wedding Song (London - UK) VG 5.00 A catchy & memorable groovy party starter from an unlikely artist. Worn but fine for DJ'ing with.

The Brothers Seven Evil Ways / Funky Smunk (Funk 45 - UK RI) EX+ 10.00 Rumbling Heavy Funk with blistering horns and ponding organ. Originals cost >£ Long out of print repress.

Missa Luba Joachim Ngoi - 6 track EP w/ Picture Sleeve (Phillips) EX 2.00 Difficult to categorise this, the sleeve says Congolese Mass, so I'll go for that, interesting rare liitle EP - 1967, not sure if UK or Congolese issue.

Wganda Kenya Porto Au Prince / Puerto Principe (Fuentes) EX 3.00 2 sides of 70's Columbian tropicalia grooves from this legendary label and artist.

Byrdie Green / Kent Schneider Return of the Prodigal Son / The Chuch is within us.. (Jazzman) EX 4.00 Great double sider. Nice to have Byrdie on a 45 hey!

Madeline Bell That's what friends are for / Inst. (Jazzman) EX 5.00 Another Jazzman special.

Lyn Collins We Want to Parrrty, Parrty.. / You can't beat (People - Red) EX 6.00 Stone Cold Funk 45 classic. Gots to love it. Light cue burn on intro.

Chris Connor Senor Blues / Misty (Atlantic White DJ) G+ 3.00 Doing quite well with great records that are trashed yet play OK on this list. Sultry female Jazz vocal version of the originally Horace Silver penned tune and a lovely version, Old Gilles Peterson spin from many moons ago. Has noise - it's a good collection filler.

Ruby and the Party Gang Ruby's House Party / Hey Ruby (Law-Ton) VG 5.00 Good enough play out copy of this funky feelgood party groover, call & response stylee.

Mickey & Soul Generation Give Everybody Some / We got to make a change (Funk 45) EX 7.00 Unreleased prior to Jazzman finding the tapes! Classic Funk. Long sold out.

Larry Sanders (The Profit Soul) Story of My Love / Where did peace go? (Sound of Soul) EX 10.00 Top side is decent wah wah funk, flip has a sweet soulful message for you.

Stanley Turrentine Spooky / Love is Blue (Blue Note) VG+ 10.00 Think this is a 45 only track, real good version here from Stanley, heavy full production. Looks clean, has some static noise so reduced.

Tito Puente, Celia Cruz + 6 Track 12" Ep/ Mini LP (Musica Latina) EX+ 4.00 Italian compilation Loud 12" with Tito Puente's monster "Para Los Rumberos" plus tracks by Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Tommy Olivencia, Ricardo Ray & Bobby Cruz from the back catalogues of Tico, Fania, Inca . 90s press I think.

Evelyn King Love Come Down / Instrumental (12") (RCA - UK) VG 3.00 Essential Club Classic from 82 - has marks, plays with bit of noise but DJ'able with.

Cornel Campbell / King Tubby Natty Dread in Greenwich Farm / Just a Moment / DUBS (Attack Gold 10") EX+ 8.00 Long deleted rare 10" of heavy Jamaican productions - tunes! 2 vocal tracks from the might Cornell with King Tubby big dub versions.

Le Ry-Co Jazz Chikiri Cumbe / Do Right Woman Do Right Man (Disque Debs - Fr) VG 3.00 Obscure Guadeloupe 45 from this currently appreaciated band, A Side is straight up tropical dancefloor groove, flip is their take, also in a soul style of the Aretha hit. Looks slightly worn, plays fine. Picture Sleeve.

Al Greene & Soul Mates Back Up Train / Don't Leave Me (Bell - UK) VG++ 6.00 Always loved "Back up Train". From when Al had an 'e' in his surname, downtempo late 60s soul perefection with an almighty breakbeat bass, drum organ intro and groove to the whole side . Beautiful arrangement & and a cheapie. Not heard it yet? - a 'buy blind buy' for sure. UK small hole in a (slightly ripped) Bell bag.

Wax looks almost comically abused, where has this been stored I wonder..., but is, amazingly so, still listenable, maybe G+. Has some crackle but that thick sound wins through. Charlie killing it on the hammond. An early 90s Acid Jazz club anthem.

Missa Luba Joachim Ngoi - 6 track EP w/ Picture Sleeve (Phillips) EX 2.00 Difficult to categorise this, the sleeve says Congolese Mass, so I'll go for that, interesting rare liitle EP - 1967, not sure if UK or Congolese issue.

Wganda Kenya Porto Au Prince / Puerto Principe (Fuentes) EX 3.00 2 sides of 70's Columbian tropicalia grooves from this legendary label and artist.

Sultry female Jazz vocal version of the originally Horace Silver penned tune and a lovely version, Old Gilles Peterson spin from many moons ago. Has noise - it's a good collection filler.

Stanley Turrentine Spooky / Love is Blue (Blue Note) VG+ 10.00 Think this is a 45 only track, real good version here from Stanley, heavy full production. Looks clean, has some static noise so reduced.
