HOW DIFFERENT AND IS IT AS GOOD??

SHORTER IS NOT A PROBLEM

GASHER

Very minor difference better in my opinion, I have someone who's approached me about selling a 7" copy I emailed him last week to find out about it, but hes not got back yet he seems pretty busy.

I can give him another nudge and see what happens if your after a copy.

If your interested give me a PM and I'll pass it on to him.

I think they are the same 'take' just the timings are different, LP is 4.35, 45 is 3.30. It's never mentioned but the 45 has 'I Wanna Get Next To You' on the flip which is a great modern / xover track. I'm not making this up I just played them both, Cheers, Ady

The LP version has a longer intro and outro if I remember correctly, but I don't think it's the same take at all; the 45 version sounds "tighter" (and a lot better!) throughout. I've got the sound file somewhere, but don't think I'm allowed to share.

Fantastic record!

That's not the problem, I've promised the guy who gave me the file not to share it.

I think you're right Helena, my brother Jordi had the 45 for a while before trading it on. I remember being really dissapointed in the LP mix when I subsequently got one, and have never felt like playing it from the Lp knowing that it's inferior.

Hi Dave, gotta disagree with you on this one mate, always loved the lp version and having heard both i prefer the LP, certain Glynn Thornhill bought a few of the 45' direct from Tony Fox back in the early 80's...Martin you are wrong there is more than two of the 45'.

Brett

ps.Hi Ady (Pountain) believe we talked about this a few years back at Soul Essence Yarmouth.......hope that copy of the Fondells is tucked away safely wink.gif .love the Jae Mason mate, played it up at the Morecambe weekender.
