Guest billysbag Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 watched a programme featuring mamas and papas and lovin spoonful on the beeb. at one point they played the barest snippet of a tune. The tunes opening bars sounded just like "supertime" or "six o clock" .my question is did the lovin spoonful do a vocal of six o clock? Whats the story,if there is one?
John Benson Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I don't think there's a story as such, but yes, it was originally done by Lovin Spoonful on Karma Sutra. The instrumental you refer to was simply a cover!

Karma Sutra the label for the vocal I think it was the Mamas and Papas, put it could be Lovin Spoonful. I can't remember?
