Hi,

I've just finished to buy on ebay an italian pressing of Dee Dee Sharp - "What kind of lady".

I knew that there was an italian Gamble PS with "you're gonna miss me" on the flip, but the one I've bought, seems to be a jukebox pressing in white sleeve with an obscure italian song (F.R. David - Luisa, luisa) on the back.

Labels too are different on each sides, Gamble for Dee Dee sharp and Saint Martin Record for FR David side.

Anyone know something about it? rare?

Hi, here is the regular italian pressing with "you're gonna miss me" on B side...your copy was probably devoted to radio stations or dj's for promotion (?)

Italian Saint Martin records probably bought few US "Gamble records" rights...as Frankie Beverley "If that's what you wanted/Love" (which also came out in Italy on the same label) and maybe more (Intruders?...)

Hi Tof, exact there's a french issue with PS too (came out on french BYG label), but I can't send you a picture of it cause I sold my copy (I had it 3 times), I only kept the italian one because I think the sleeve & label are more beautiful than the french one (& maybe rarer)...

This record is not common but can't be sold for more than £50-£60 to me (£75 to £100 for US copy on Tim Brown's guide seems to be very expensive to me as I don't think it's so rare...but maybe I'm out of the new prices!)

Romain

thank you Paul for compliment

F.R David was actually a French singer. He had a massive worldwide hit (No2 in the UK pop pickers!) with 'Words' in 1982.
