Guest Jamie Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 $500 maybe but not $700,s worth IMO the gasher link It does actual say 'Or Best Offer' I wonder what the best offer will be and if it will be accepted?? Jamie
Gasher Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 (edited) I thought $700 for a wind instrument was a bit excessive.. the gasher Edited June 10, 2005 by gash99
Mandy Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 It does actual say 'Or Best Offer' I wonder what the best offer will be and if it will be accepted?? Jamie link Do you think he'll accept IOU's
MarkWhiteley Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Thers only got to be one idiot link Indeed Ted - the fool that buys it Certainly not worth $700 in my humble opinion, maybe half of that but $700 is way ott
MarkWhiteley Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Do you think he'll accept IOU's link Dunno. He might accept sweets though when you've finished paying Ian C
MarkWhiteley Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 (edited) I know I've made fun of the (way over the top and quite silly) price, but it would be nice to see a scan of the pic sleeve Mr. Northwest records bet she's white Edited June 10, 2005 by billytheboot

Ted Massey Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 I know I've made fun of the (way over the top and quite silly) price, but it would be nice to see a scan of the pic sleeve Mr. Northwest records bet she's white link she'll be latino wont be in Tim Browns collection then

Sebastian Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Why wouldn't you plat it??!!!! Think it Over is a very popular record at soul nights I go to link Because it's not a soul record. A bit like playing The Beach Boys at a reggae event. I'm not saying that either Liz Verdi nor The Beach Boys are bad. But I wouldn't want to hear them in that context.
MarkWhiteley Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Why wouldn't you plat it??!!!! Think it Over is a very popular record at soul nights I go to link Indeed it is Mandy it's a brill record, just not worth $700. In fact it was played by Mr Tony Wiggan at the Friendship last night as his last record I believe. Sounded very good too Don't know the flip..any chance of an mp3 Seb
Guest ShaneH Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Because it's not a soul record. A bit like playing The Beach Boys at a reggae event. I'm not saying that either Liz Verdi nor The Beach Boys are bad. But I wouldn't want to hear them in that context. link Its a fantastic record imo. Deserves a play on every NORTHERN soul dancefloor! I heard it again at the Friendship and it sounded ace. Mandy, Paul did his thing superbly to this record last night as you can imagine Shane
Guest j-g Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Why people go for this side of the 45 is beyond; Lightweight and not too exciting... the flip is utter fantastic tho and I think that could pass at a northern do, due to the angst factor or whatever it's called
Sebastian Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Don't know the flip..any chance of an mp3 Seb link Here you go. I love it and it is reason enough to own the 45 IMO. I don't unfortunately.
Sebastian Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 (edited) the flip is utter fantastic tho and I think that could pass at a northern do, due to the angst factor or whatever it's called link Listened to the flip now again when I uploaded it. I think I might agree with you. I probably would consider playing "You Let Him Get Away" at a soul do. Lots of emotion going on in there. "Think It Over" is a bit too twee though.
