why is this fetching double what it did a few years ago when I never bothered to pick it up? Arses. Could have had this on a demo for £70 a couple of years back. Issue is much rarer?

Get the Lp instead. Half the price, quality additional tunes and an ace front cover!

you could always buy the geman issue with a picture cover they look good.

Not my thing. I m only interested in getting the first release, usually the demo - but I'll take an issue if the demos are ungettable or 100's more. I can't see any point in owning foreign p/s issues (apart from to put on a wall, perhaps). This has always struck me as very strange - like why would someone want French Small Faces eps, for example?

Thanks anyway - I bought a Metros last night, together with a Frank Dell.

Of course its great to have originals but I find this a strange comment. Personally I have always found it fascinating to see some of the rare soul tunes which have managed to get issues in countries that you'd never have thought there could possibly be a market. Also even straightforward things like a spanish release of OTIS REDDING'S 'My Girl' not only carried attractive covers but an interesting version of the track with OTIS warbling away in spanish on the b side! Again, personally, as a soul fan picking up something like that in M-condition in a junkshop for £2 is as much part of the whole experience as getting hold of a rare US orignal, certainly in terms of historical interest at the very least.

ALSO THESE FOREIGN ISSUES ARE 100 TIMES RARER THAN THE USA COUNTERPARTS IN MOST, NOT ALL CASES. ALSO WHY THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE ON THIS FOR ISSUE OR DEMO AS THERES NOWT IN EM .

i agree bri and i reckon they look so much nicer imo. you see a lot more us copies than the german release.
