ImberBoy Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 (edited) Mike and the Mod's this is possibly in the wrong area so I will add some soul content in the hope this will be allowed to stay up here for a while? From the 22nd of June until 21st of July, the Chernobyl Children Life Line's charity will bring child victims of the Chernobyl disaster to the UK for a recuperative break, Carol and I have been privileged to host two ten year old girls from Belarus. The girls are both fit and healthy as in no flippers or radiation poisoning, they just need feeding up for a month on food that isn't contaminated and in the process giving them a holiday break. So what am I after? Well I would like to take them to a soul night in preferably South Yorkshire, we live on the Pennines Tops between Barnsley and Sheffield so Drax, Eggborough, Barnsley, Royston, Sheffield and area would be spot on. I'm not after any thing money wise just a promoter who would allow us to bring two little girls to experience our passion for soul music. Soul content...... paup-ine Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Hi Imberboy. I admire your generosity towards these children. god knows, (excuse the pun) they need all the help they can get. I do not weant to put dampners on your ideas, but I think you may have a problem bringing them to a licenced event. I may be wrong though? Good Luck, P
ImberBoy Posted May 18, 2009 Author Posted May 18, 2009 P, In life it is easier to beg forgiveness than permission. The soul scene people whom I call me friends have never been preoccupied with rules? They are decent and honorable people whose moral compasses are set by then selves and as Edwin said, "I have faith in you".
