...Oh how we larfed, but how many of us, really, would love to have a Mel Britt 'muriel' behind us as we sat cabbaging on the couch?

Just think about racking up on a circular etched glass coffee table with a depiction of a Cecil Washington 7" etched therein?

Or ringing yer mates doorbell, then noticing the bell-push was a perfect enamel rendition of an obscure Stateside demo?

There's got to be some legs in that man surely?

Hiya Barry, remember the old pub mirrors that were really popular in the early 80's ? Just about every house in England had one did'nt they. Looking back now, they were bloody naff but imagine if a company would do Northern Soul mirrors, sell like hot cakes don't you think? Aspell Saggers in Peterborough used to print them, i worked for a screen printers that did their overflow work. Stay soulful mate, TONY t bone. OZ. Spreading The Faith Down Under.

Too slow Barry - the northern soul doorbell already exists!.. well, sort of.

you can buy those that let you record your own message so when your doorbell rings, you hear whatever you've recorded.

I'm sure I recall a blast of gene toones around the house when the doorbell rang for a while.

It was done as a joke initially but left like that for a good while.
