Anybody got a copy of Mark Capanni - I Believe In Miracles (original version of Jackson Sisters) they want to part with or any info on said record?

Pretty sure it's album only & think it originates from Germany but not sure.

Any info more than appreciated.

TIA,

Mart...

It's a US recording and it was issued on a 7" in the US on Capitol in 1974. Both mono/stereo demos and regular issues were released but it seems to be a very rare record. I've got a copy but it's not for sale.

Mark Capanni indeed wrote the tune but the Jackson Sisters version was issued first (in 1973).

You will be very lucky to find this elusive 45 Martin. I ' ve been searching for twenty years and only seen one on the worldwide web in that time. Very elusive, and a good version of the rare groove classic .

Thanks for the info Sebastian & Glyn.

Looks like it's going to take a bit of good luck to find a copy.

Reason I quoted Germany in my original post is because the person who sent me the mp3 of it a while back copied it from a German album & told me there was no 7" release.

Knew about the year difference but the M C version sounds far earlier so assumed it was recorded first & not released until later.

By the way, he released a second 45 on Capitol as well.

Very nice, good version, still prefer the Jackson Sisiters i think but this is great.

How much does it go for??

Hard to put a price on. I've only ever seen one copy for sale (and that's the one I've got, I got it cheap off a US dealer listed in the "country" section... ). It's an incredibly hard to find 45 and seems to have been unknown to most people up until the last six months or so.

It wont be cheap again, thats for sure!

I got a copy of 'Listen to my heartbeat' (Little Beaver) off a non-soul US record dealer on Ebay, i saw it up for sale on the first day and asked if he had a 'buy it now' price so he asked if £5 was ok, which it was, but i still think i should have haggled! Not the best / most expensive track ever but a good deal - nice when that happens!
