Could somebody be so kind and supply some background information about this track- it´s only available on a Grapevine compilation as far as I know....

Yes, Grapevine L.P only. Another quality track using the 'Going To A Happening' backing track.

From Hestor's vaults, unreleased in the 60's. A gem!

It's on the 'Talk Of The Grapevine' L.P (GRAL 1000). Produced by Richard Wylie, possibly around 1967.

I heard that Spaceland was to be the original release to the backing track. Going To A Happening was put to the backing and rushed out to try and capitalise on the successes of Miracles -Going To A Go-Go and Bob Brady - Everybody's Going To A Love-In, and subsequently Spaceland was all but forgotten about.

Thanks for that, Mike. Got that one, haven´t listened to it for more than a decade.

...and guess what, while digging for "Detroit a-go-go" just found the Grapevine LP, too. I should really pay more attention to my 33s.

...and digging out the Detriot A-Go-Go has reminded me of something..........I now need to go post on another thread
