Windlesoul Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I know some of the Saxony stuff were reissued on 45 in the 80s/90s at least once, but none of the discographies tell me whether this has been? Has it been reissued/booted then and if so whats the difference in label design/nos anyone? Any scans to help? Cheers, Mark
Windlesoul Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 Don't think this was booted. Plenty of them around. Thanks Ged. How about legit reissue then (maybe for the flip for the US teen collectors market?), as I said I know there was a reissue series or two, and have seen two different coloured labels (one luminous blue/green and the other maroon I think from memory)...or just a different pressing plant?
Ged Parker Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Thanks Ged. I have a couple of the blue/green banded copies somewhere. Never seen a maroon one. It doesn't show in the price guides as having been reissued or booted for that matter. We are talking about Call me And I'll Be Happy aren't we? Ged

Bright blue/green #1008, then matt blue #7505 (dont know where I got maroon from?). Is #7505 a late (80s/90s) job?

Here's the accurate discography, label co-owner Paul Trefzger was directly involved with this. The 1001 - 1013 records are the only 60s issues. There were some reissues, and some pressings of previously unissued recordings. The only thing missing is the info on the Teardrops records that were issused on Musicor. https://saxonyrecordcompany.com/discography.html - George
