re the above, I idolize you' was on the Sue LP 'Ike and Tina Turners Greatest hits' (1964); I have a really scuffed copy (but playable, 'disc only) of this LP, I found after searching through PILES of Orchestral and Ken Dodd LPs, in a Charity shop (always knew I should visit that shop). There are two versions of this song, that I know of, at least... :huh:

Also on the Kent Ike & Tina compilation from the eighties iif I remember correctly. Any idea which version was on there?

I've got this on a Hallmark release too... great pic of them on the cover from their ready steady go appearance (I think?)

Yes, I would guess, from the sound of it, that the Hallmark LP version is the later, it's more 'sanitized', (cleaner?) than the rougher, 'screamer', with the broody, Blues Piano tinkling away, in the background whistling.gif
