Pete S Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 I love those Teddy Randazzo productions where the verses are pretty sparse then the chorus comes absolute crashing in. A bit like Nirvana and the Pixies.
Guest cC B Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 How about Richard 'Popcorn' Wylie Cheers, Christian B
Epic Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Jerry Ross, Joe Renzetti,Charles Calello & the master Van McCoy
Guest Rich Walker Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 (edited) For me it's got to be Mr Mike Hanks!!! The man behind some of my favourite labels... Wheelsville, D-Town, Premium Stuff, Wheel City, Mah's, Wee 3 and Tuba! Cheers, Rich. P.S Agree with Christian B on Richard 'Popcorn' Wylie! Great producer!!! Edited June 5, 2005 by Rich Walker

Godzilla Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Don't think I could whittle it down to three. As well as those already mentioned there's people like Ollie Mcloughlin, Jimmy Wisner, Robert Banks, HB Barnum, all that Chicago stuff from Carl Davis and Willie Henderson... And then there are the Arrangers too. Think about the contribution to this thing we call Northern Soul by guys like Arthur Wright and the kickass sound of Miles Grayson. That's just a few from the top of my head. good thread though Godz
Ady Croasdell Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Luther Dixon, Van McCoy (I've just discovered the flip of Toni Lamarr's 'Just In The Nick Of Time') and Thom Bell. I'll give you three more when the IPA wears off.
