pikeys dog Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Upper end of Maces valuation IMO. Issues are probably a little easier to find than demos. Watch for mispressed ones that are off-centre, I've had a couple and one was completely unplayable.
shute Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Quite a guy for his time, cross dressed in public & later believed to have had a sex change before he/she disappeared into obscurity! And Larry Grayson thought he was pushing it Are you talking about Mace
Ficklefingers Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Had a nice Canadian copy off ebay for £9 not long back but seen it fetch £50-£60 With early New York soul being a bit of a 'passion' of mine - getting into it BIG TIME, nothing BUT, in the early 90's - I've been very fortunate to pick up some nice white demo's of some of them Juggy Jones' stable of labels.. Including this one : Fingers

Mace Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 was being polite about it ! could have said ''speak for yourself'' Give over.... You got to remember I've heard lots of stories about your grubby past.... so it wouldn't surprise me if you turned a blind eye to SHE being a HE on more than one occasion
Guest mr_jp Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Strange to see the SUE in bold font and not script on your scan Fingers. Is it a boot Has it been booted then? or you messing about?
Guest posstot Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Quite a guy for his time, cross dressed in public & later believed to have had a sex change before he/she disappeared into obscurity! And Larry Grayson thought he was pushing it I wonder if him and Bobby Marchan were "BUM CHUMS" then.
Mace Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Has it been booted then? or you messing about? Now you mention it there may have been a Belgium boot of this ....but I might be thinking of Sylvia Robbins? Anyone? The reason I mentioned Fingers copy was that the SUE logo under the lines to the left side of the label is usually in a 'Script' font, don't think I've ever seen one in the bold font as on Fingers scan? Doubt this is a boot....but just thought it looked odd without the script logo.
Mace Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Thought I remembered a thread about this possibly being booted....link to thread below... https://www.soul-source.co.uk/Jackie-...oot#entry626234

Guest Craig A Butler Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Should be easy enough to locate, this is the flip side to her version of In My Tenament by Roosevelt Grier this version is on Sue Records about £20.00 Surely you must mean HIM as Jackie was a man that just liked dressing up as a woman.
