Supercorsa Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) I know everyone on Ebay had to start with 0 feedback, but this seller in Malaysia looks a bit suspect. >>Steve Mancha - Friday Night he's got listed<< Checkout his other sales. I could be wrong, but just seems strange sort of listings as if they've been copied and pasted from old sales or something. *** Apologies, but as posts below show, this is a genuine Ebay seller. Bid Away! *** Edited April 28, 2009 by Supercorsa

He reckons at the bottom that he's just moved there from Japan, The English is good. Is there a way of checking his old feedback? Bill Brandon on Piedmont!!!

Dylan Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 If he has got all the good feedback from japan why doesnt he mention his seller name from Japan ?? I have asked him that question via ebay so waiting for answer....
Picky Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I know everyone on Ebay had to start with 0 feedback, but this seller in Malaysia looks a bit suspect. >>Steve Mancha - Friday Night he's got listed<< Checkout his other sales. I could be wrong, but just seems strange sort of listings as if they've been copied and pasted from old sales or something. I am the one who listed those rare items on ebay. I was collecting Soul records since late 60s and recently moved to Malaysia with all my collections from Japan. My ebay ID in Japan is security1941 which is still active and I don't want to close it because I will go back to Japan someday. Why I had to register as a new ID with ebay was that PayPal Japan does not allow me to withdraw my fund to my bank account in Malaysia, so I register a new account with PayPay Malaysia as well. You can check thru my ebay ID (security1941) in Japan my feedback more than 700 which are 100% positive while I was selling my collection in Japan. The photos of the listed items are taken by me, not taken from the old listed items. You can see those have been taken from same angle and same size and same focus. If I took those from the old listing, those size, angle and focus are different, right?? In addition, I am a friend of John Ridgley (Sir Shambling). You can see my name on his website. I am not asking you to place your bid but they will soon be gone to other ebay buyers. If you are interested in those items, please bid accordingly. Regards, Naoya
Picky Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 If he has got all the good feedback from japan why doesnt he mention his seller name from Japan ?? Because I was concerned that the ebay may close my account either ID in Japan or new ID in Malaysia if I state the other ID (in Japan) on the auction. I would again use the ID in Japan when I get back to Japan. Regards, Naoya
Supercorsa Posted April 28, 2009 Author Posted April 28, 2009 Apologies if this has caused any upset . Just that what with so many scare stories in the past, just thought people should be aware. Anyway now we know the truth, I may have a punt or two myself.
Ady Potts Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I have purchased a record from Naoya back in November from his 'security1941' & was extremely pleased with both the item & the very fast service. The grade was spot on. Thanks again Naoya ! Regards, Ady (ebay i.d. soulinc123)

Howard Griffin? Anyone know him? Sells a lot of records If you paid by Paypal he has to send it to the address shown on paypal to be covered - don't think it would be his fault if you have the wrong address showing on paypal?

Tried to get that fantastic 4 cheap but someone else did
Guest griffh Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 If you paid by Paypal he has to send it to the address shown on paypal to be covered - don't think it would be his fault if you have the wrong address showing on paypal? Seeing as my integrity is being discuused in public.Let it be known I gave Russ all the details of the postal service and thus an ability to collect it,insured it myself as he didnt request any.Seems to be strange to me that he couldnt go and give some kind of formal proof of his identity of his other address. I have just got back to the UK.I will phone the post office and ask them if the record is still with them or not.If the record is there then fair enough why not just meet me at the post office and I'll pass it to him? I feel I shouldnt then have to pay the Ebay and paypal charges etc when in reality why should I take the record back? I have sold quite a few records,to a few well known people on here too, whose names I wont mention but they know who they are, without any problems. He has told me he went to the post office and couldnt get the record off them .Why not if you can prove your identity? I had a similar issue a few weeks ago and the person actually managed to get the record no problem. I will offer no more to this dicussion other than to say I believe I have done everything right and in good faith. As far as fucking somebody about goes,no comment there. Howard Griffin

Guest griffh Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Having had chance now to look further into this,it is the same address on both the original point of sale on Ebay AND Paypal. Not as wrongly suggested I have sent it to the correct address,so lets have no further insinuations on here or maybe the Ebay people I have been threatened with, and I quote, may like to know : " At the end of the day you were supposed to ship it to my EBAY address as I purchased through EBAY NOT my paypal address so it was your error in the first place...the item will be returned to you and you are insured for it in all eventuality anyway so I want a refund...if you want to play hard ball i'll open up a claim and spread the word about this on the whole soul scene...I didn't receive the record...it wasnt my money in the first place...I want a refund...simple as that This below is taken from the EBay original sale invoice.I have kept the first part blank for his privacy, its the same on Paypal too. I dont normally conduct private affairs on here, but it seems to me I'm the one who should be asking questions now, which I have been doing. My apologies to the rest on here.
